Swimming With Monsterfish
Hand drawn line art of people swimming with very large fish. In my head, all these fish are friendly creatures who live in harmony with the other aquatic critters. The poems are a bonus!
The line art of these drawings were printed and distributed as coloring page activities at a local art festival in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.

Cave fish
In a cave where the wild corals sprawl,
Lived a fish, not too big, not too small.
With claws like a crab,
It would jab, stab, and grab,
The most whimsical fish of them all.
Diamond fish
A fish with diamonds so rare,
Swimming in the sea without a care.
Its shimmering scales,
Told wondrous tales,
Together we swam in a pair.

Octoshark
In the realm of the deep,
The Octoshark doesn't sleep.
It hugs fish with joy,
Every girl and boy,
In memories they will keep.

Across the water
Underneath the water's surface, smooth and clear,
Lurks Obi, who likes to be near.
Two friends unaware,
Rowed without a care,
As the monsterfish swam near.
Dragon fish
With scales that shimmered like night,
The dragon-fish was quite a sight.
In the sea, we dove,
In an underwater cove,
Bathed in a mystical light.
Durian Whale
A creature with a back so spiky,
Swims in the sea, oh so mighty.
Sharp teeth in a smile,
Swimming mile after mile
Good thing the Durian Whale is friendly!
Glow fish
In the belly of a fish, vast and grand,
An old man crouched, far from land.
With just a lightbulb's glow,
In the depths below,
He pondered life, unplanned.
Submarine fish
In our little submarine deep under the sea,
Where monstrous fish roam free.
Their eyes like moons,
In underwater dunes,
We watched, as thrilled as could be.
Freediving with sharks
Inspired by Wolfgang Leander, an esteemed freediver and photographer (March 21st, 1941 - July 23rd, 2018). Leander devoted countless hours to diving and capturing the majestic beauty of sharks and other large marine life.
